Tour Overview
This 6-day Darjeeling–Kalimpong–Gangtok tour offers a delightful blend of Himalayan scenery, culture, and heritage. Beginning with arrival at Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri, guests travel to Darjeeling to enjoy leisure time and iconic sightseeing, including a sunrise at Tiger Hill, Ghoom Monastery, and Batasia Loop. The journey continues to Kalimpong, known for its flower nurseries, monasteries, and scenic viewpoints. Guests then explore Gangtok, visiting landmarks such as Rumtek Monastery, Do-Drul Chorten, and the Institute of Tibetology. A serene excursion to the sacred Tsomgo Lake adds a natural highlight. The tour concludes with departure, leaving lasting memories of the Eastern Himalayas.
Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri - Darjeeling
Meet and Greet on arrival at Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri. Our office representative welcomes you and briefs you the tour. Transfer to Darjeeling, it is one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world. Evening free to explore this Hill queen, walk to The Mall and cherish the ambience. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early Morning at 04:00 AM visit Tiger Hill, famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga, on way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and back to hotel. After breakfast proceed for visit 7 points, covering The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & PNZ Zoological Park ( both closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetans Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda & Ropeway ( operational, rope ride ticket to be paid guest directly). Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Darjeeling – Kalimpong
After breakfast proceed to Kalimpong, and proceed for sightseeing, Visit The Dello, Flower / Orchid Nursery, Dr. Grahams Home, and Buddhist monastery, Back to hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Excursion Trip to Tsomgo Lake
Morning start for a half day trip to Tsomgo Lake (12400ft), 32kms from Gangtok City. The lake is almost about 1Km long, oval in shape and 15 mtrs deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people, Evening free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Kalimpong – Gangtok
After breakfast transfer to Gangtok. Check in into hotel, Afternoon start half day sightseeing, covering The Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Do-Dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology ( Closed on Sunday), Flower Show, Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms(Closed on Sunday), and Cable Car ( Own Ticket ). Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6: Gangtok - Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri
This day is your departure day as per the flight and train schedule timing will be given by our office representative. Tour ends with sweet memories and you will cherish the greenery of the Monsoon in the Hills.
