DAY
Day 1: Cochin – Munnar

You will be greeted on arrival at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station and then driven to Munnar, a scenic journey of about 4 hours. Nestled at an altitude of 1,600 meters, Munnar lies at the meeting point of three mountain streams—Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale. Known for its breathtaking landscapes, this charming hill station once served as the summer retreat of the British in South India. En route, enjoy refreshing waterfalls and beautiful natural viewpoints. Upon reaching Munnar, check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast, set out for a full day of sightseeing in Munnar. Begin with a visit to the Tea Museum, where you can learn about the region’s rich tea-growing heritage (entry Rs.125 per adult, open until 5 pm). Later, explore the Floriculture Centre, popularly called the Rose Garden, home to a wide variety of flowers and herbal plants (Rs.30 per person, open 10 am–5 pm). Proceed to Eravikulam National Park, renowned for its diverse wildlife, lush greenery, and the rare Nilgiri Tahr (entry Rs.120 for Indian adults, closes at 4 pm). In the afternoon, visit Mattupetty Dam and Lake, offering boating and horse riding activities (Rs.40 entry, open till 5 pm). Continue to the serene Kundala Lake for scenic boating experiences (Rs.100–200). Also enjoy stops at the famous Photo Point and Echo Point. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar – Thekkady (Periyar)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Thekkady, a journey of around 4 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and begin your sightseeing tour. Visit the renowned Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, a well-known Tiger Reserve established in 1978, covering an area of 777 sq km of lush evergreen forests. The sanctuary remains open from 6 am to 6 pm, with entry fees starting at Rs.33 for Indian adults. Enjoy a scenic boat ride on Periyar Lake (Rs.225 per person), offering chances to spot wildlife along the shores; advance online booking is advised. You may also opt for activities such as a jeep safari (approx. Rs.1500 per person), a spice plantation tour (around Rs.100), or cultural performances like Kathakali and Kalaripayattu (Rs.200 each). Elephant rides are available as well (approx. Rs.500). Overnight stay will be in Thekkady.

Day 4: Alleppey – Overnight Houseboat Backwater Cruise

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Alleppey to embark on a mesmerizing overnight backwater cruise aboard a traditionally decorated houseboat. Check-in is scheduled at 1:00 PM, followed by lunch as the cruise begins. As you glide along the tranquil waters, take in the scenic beauty of lush paddy fields, charming village life, rustic homes, ancient churches and temples, and swaying coconut groves. Enjoy freshly prepared meals served onboard while soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay will be on the houseboat, offering a unique and relaxing experience amidst Kerala’s famous backwaters.

Day 5: Alleppey - Cochin
